I owned and operated a small landscaping business in the local area that my rental property is located. My thinking was that since I needed to take care of my property It would be beneficial to have some more local customers to better make use of my time and warrant the cost of the machinery purchased. It worked well for 5 years. I enjoyed the work thoroughly. When my daughters came along it was much more difficult to set aside enough time to effectively operate.
